This is another type of Faux Finish. The Elephant Skin painting technique is used to create the illusion of the texture of an "Elephants Skin". To obtain this look, tissue paper is crinkled up and then is painted onto the wall.  Many times different base colors are applied to the wall, followed by a glaze coating. This process is tedious and is more expensive than Suede finish.
